Benoit Hechtermans
Benoit Hechtermans received his first camera at the age of 6: a Kodak Instamatic! From family photos to landscapes, he learned to tame photographic technique, framing and the infernal trio of aperture, shutter speed and sensitivity, and to use ever more capable equipment.
With the "digital revolution", he was able to put his professional skills in computing at the service of his passion for photography. In his "digital laboratory", every image can be optimised and reworked to extract its very essence.
Benoit practises reportage photography (shows, balls…), studio photography (portraits) and the restoration of old images. He feeds the fire of his passion by reading specialised books, visiting exhibitions and searching for out-of-the-ordinary images online.
