Luc Vanvaerenbergh studied at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp where he obtained advanced diplomas for the following disciplines: harpsichord, chamber music, harmony, counterpoint and fugue.

Until 1994 he was responsible for the conservation and maintenance of historical keyboard instruments in the collection of the Vleeshuis Museum in Antwerp.

The same year, he was appointed Director of the Antwerp Academy and lecturer at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.

As a soloist he has performed in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Brazil and the Netherlands.
