Emi SHIRAKI / harp, recorder

Emi Shiraki was born in Osaka (Japan). She began studying music at the age of 5 and recorder at the age of 9. Passionate about early music from a very young age, she graduated in recorder from Soai University in Osaka. Then, she decided to discover Europe and continue her musical training there. She obtained a specialized Master's degree in recorder at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

She also holds a degree (DEM) in ancient harp from the Francis Poulenc Conservatory in Tours, France. She subsequently obtained a specialized Master's degree in ancient harp from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. She is also active as a continuo player for several renowned chamber music and baroque opera ensembles.

Today she plays in a world music project, where several traditions mix. Indeed, she grew up exchanging with musicians from diverse traditions and her vocation is to transmit to the public her passion for music.
